Top Graded artist in Nazrul Geeti in All India Radio and Doordarshan, Susmita Goswami fascinates music loving people with her melodious , cuckoo suave voice . Recipient of many awards and felicitation since musical career . Susmita had been honoured with young talent scholarship in the field of Hindusthani Tappa, Nazrul Award from Kabitirtha Churulia, Live time achievement award from Govt. of West Bengal. She is Sangeet Sudhakar and Sangeet Pravakar in Rabindra Sangeet. Susmita graduated with Sanskrit Honours from Presidency College, Stood First class second in Calcutta University. She then persuade master in Sanskrit from Calcutta University and was rewarded with 2nd place. Susmita was a lecturer in Rabindra Bharati University in Vocal Music for seven years. Her singing was backed by many leading music companies like HMV, Gathani, Raga, T-Series etc. Susmita succeeds profusely in popularizing Nazrul Geeti, Devotional songs, Sanskrit Stotram, Modern songs in India and abroad ( USA, Bangladesh etc). Susmita was selected by Ministry of culture Govt. of India in international conference held in Dhaka (Bangladesh) for representing INDIA to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Nazrul ‘s Poem “VIDROHI” , consecutively two years (inauguration and closing ceremony) in 2012 and 2013. Susmita is no longer a name of a singer, she is an institution of music.
