RABINDRABHABANAY SRIMADBHAGABADGITA

Written by Mr. Nityananda Chakravorty from Bangladesh and published by a renowned publisher, “Yanantik”, the Book “RABINDRABHABANAY SRIMADBHAGABADGITA” has been a wonderful treatise on assimilation of Upanishad-based philosophical and spiritual concepts of Gita with those expressed in Tagore’s monumental literary creations. The content of the book is sliced into 11 themes which are found common both in 18 chapters of Gita and in Tagore’s literature. Major themes discussed are Soul and its immortality, Peace, Bhakti, God- Maya- Nature, Man’s Religion, the growth of Divine Realization, the Yajnas, the Four Castes, Egoism, Karma yoga and God’s incarnation for establishment of Dharma. The author has summarised the findings of his rigorous investigations in the chapter-12.
The Book has highlighted that Tagore’s songs and poems touched the alter of the Gita’s sublime and subtlest hymns. His thought process, mental entity, divine sparks of his consciousness and the constructs of his own free-feeling towers have blossomed into a religious height almost akin to that of Gita, carrying the message of pantheism and humanism where the truth that growth of God in man is focused to be man’s proper business.
