A seventh-generation practitioner from a venerable lineage of Sanskrit scholars and Vedic priests, he embodies a living tradition of Hindu dharma and classical Indian wisdom.
He holds Master's degrees in both Sanskrit and English Literature, complemented by formal qualifications in education and management. His academic background is enriched by decades of practical experience in Vedic rituals and scriptural study.
Acharya Pokhrel has officiated sacred Vedic ceremonies—including yajnas, samskaras (the 16 rites of passage), Prāṇa Pratiṣṭhā, and various pujas—with deep scriptural fidelity and devotional integrity. His spiritual services have been sought across Nepal, India, Europe, and North America.
In addition to his ritual expertise, he is a respected educator and speaker. He has led seminars, workshops, and discourses on Sanskrit grammar, Jyotisha (Vedic astrology), yoga philosophy, Bhagvad Geeta and broader themes in Sanātana Dharma. His literary contributions span poetry, cultural essays, and reflective compositions in Nepali, Sanskrit, and English.
Acharya Pokhrel currently serves as a Sanskrit Instructor and Assessor in the United Kingdom. He also holds key leadership roles as the Spiritual Advisor to the Nepali Hindu Forum UK and as General Secretary of the Hindu Priest Association UK.
His work has been recognized with several honors, including the INLS Suprama Award and the Best Environment Poetry Award (London, 2017).
