Sunil is currently working as a Water Accountant with the Australian Bureau of Meteorology in Melbourne. In the 22 years, he has worked in the capacity of Senior Water Resources Engineer with Golder Associates in Brisbane, Research Engineer with NCEA at USQ, Principal Scientist with DERM, Senior System Modelling Engineer with Gold Coast Water, Catchment System Hydrologist with QCCA in Toowoomba and Irrigation Specialist/Senior Environmental Scientist with Woodward-Clyde. He has previously worked for 18 years as a Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor in the Department of Irrigation & Water Management, Bangladesh Agricultural University.  

Sunil has knowledge and skill in water accounting, hydrological analysis and rainfall-runoff modelling, climate data generation modelling and forecasting streamflow, river water allocation modelling, hydraulic modelling of town water supply, dam break analysis and flood mapping, dam empty analysis, mine site water balance, water quality analysis, and salinity and climate analysis using parametric and non-parametric statistical analysis. 

Sunil has co-authored 22 peer-reviewed scientific papers, more than 20 conference papers and research reports and co-edited 2 books.  He is a member of the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (REPQ) and a member of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).

Sunil is a humble servant of Lord Krishna and dedicated to surrender at the lotus feet of the Supreme Godhead. He believes in the scientific explanation of the Shrimad Bhagavat Gita that has been re-introduced by Lord Krishna Himself to His disciple Arjuna for the welfare of the mankind so that we do not forget our ultimate Godhead.
